The Wives by Tarryn Fisher
Rating: 4/5
Tarryn Fisher's newest novel is a gripping tale of polygamy, lies, and deceit.
Summary:
Thursday is married to Seth. Two other women are also married to Seth, who Thursday jokingly calls Monday and Tuesday, as Seth splits his week between the three women. The three women have never met each other, but they are all aware of and okay with the situation. Or so Thursday thinks.
When she finds an opportunity to learn more about Seth's other wives, she takes it, and she quickly becomes obsessed with learning more about them and who her husband truly is.
Review:
Ugh! So many mixed feelings about this book. I was totally hooked from the beginning, I tore through it in 24 hours. Sadly, the ending was a letdown for me. Without spoiling anything, about halfway through we find out that Thursday may not be a reliable narrator, and it all kind of went downhill from there for me. That being said, this book is fast-paced, exciting, and had me dying to find out what was really going on. That's really all I can say without giving too much away! If you've enjoyed books such as The Other Mrs. and The Wife Between Us, The Wives is a great read for you!
